We couldn’t be more excited to say that our very first fashion show was a success. On November 19th, Citadel Clothing Company walked down the runway at Atlantic Fashion Week. It was great to see months of hard work come together – but that is not the only reason why we felt so special to be a part of it.
The showcase at Atlantic Fashion Week was called, “The Medium is the Message.” On this night, we were honoured to be among other local designers who use fashion to convey a deeper message. As you know, our brand focuses on high-quality goods, supporting local manufacturers, and being completely Canadian made. With every hand crafted collection we aspire to be a gentle reminder to live life with purpose, humility, and appreciation.
We were honoured to share the runway with our friends: Wear Your Label, Maggie MacCormick, Lemonade Stand Design, Optimize Greatness Apparel, and Be Glitterati. Aside from their creative designs, each brand offers a unique message: emphasis on small scale production, empowering bodies of different sizes, personal growth, staying true to your roots, and bringing awareness to mental health. Being surrounded by such talented individuals promoting such powerful messages has truly been an inspiring and humbling experience.
The fashion industry in the East Coast is growing and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of it. Check out images from the show below.
